Members Adam, Ness, Rob, Lindsey, Andy and friend Matt met at Brooks Layback on Burbage North. We were hoping to start at Ash Tree Wall but the crag was busy with groups enjoying the good weather.
I started off leading Holly Bush Gully (VD) – a green thrutchy chimney followed by Ness then Rob (..none of us particularly interested in repeating it…) while Lindsey started with a lead in Left Recess Crack (S) followed by Andy and Matt which set the groups for the day. Though we did follow Lindsey’s The Crack (HS) before their group moved across to the next wall.
Worthy note for myself was I led my first Severe on Left Recess Crack – great route!
We ended the day at the pub for a few beers and a tasty meal before going our separate ways.
